Charles Critchley MBCI - Biography

Charles Critchley is a Director and founding member of Acuity Group.

With an engineering background, Charles moved into the world of IT management as the challenges of Y2K approached. Working for a large multinational corporate, Charles accumulated a wealth of experience both as a consultant to the Senior Leadership Team in Europe and subsequently as a business partner within the Global IT function.

His experience spans IT solution delivery and support, change program management and business process engineering across the supply chain. As a result of his work he was subsequently invited to develop a business continuity program and established an innovative approach to business continuity planning which was subsequently recognised as the Global standard.

Charles achieved his MBCI in 2006, and is actively involved in the development of Business Continuity practice which ensures that Acuity Group services reflect best industry practice. Acuity is proud to be a member of the BSI’s prestigious Accredited Consultant Program (ACP).

Since establishing the Acuity methodology which has successfully helped clients achieve Business Continuity Standard BS25999 accreditation, Charles has continued to develop further management systems including ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Charles’ insight has delivered what the market was looking for in terms of an efficient way of implementing various standards using one flexible integrated methodology.
